Imaging FlowCytobot (IFCB)

Description

Oregon State University intends to contract for the purchase of an Imaging FlowCytobot (IFCB) from McLane Research Laboratories, Inc. as a sole source due to required compatibility with existing analytical pipelines, data frameworks, and research infrastructure. The equipment must support high‑throughput imaging of individual cells in at least 2–3 samples per hour, provide both fluorescence and scattering measurements compatible with existing bio‑optical instruments (e.g., Wetlabs ac‑s, Sequoia Hyper‑BB), and be robust enough for autonomous deployments on ships and moorings without fouling. The system must provide sheath‑fluidic imaging that prevents biofouling, protective housing for long‑term autonomous deployments, and built‑in compatibility with WHOI‑supported open‑source data processing tools already in use at OSU. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03‑010, Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by March 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM PST.
