High-precision 3D printing equipment and support services
Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of high-precision 3D printing equipment and support services from Hyrel 3D as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and the contractor being the single provider of the goods. The equipment must support coaxial and core-shell printing of high-viscosity nano/bio materials, include UV curing capability during the printing process, and operate across a temperature range of -5°C to 180°C. It must also feature a high-torque extrusion head capable of handling materials up to 1,000,000 cP, and deliver exceptional precision with position resolution better than 5 microns in the X and Y axes and 0.5 microns in the Z axis, with repeatability of 25 microns (X/Y) and 10 microns (Z). The equipment must also be compatible with the referenced studies to ensure scientific validity and reproducibility. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010, Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by July 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM PST.
